Audio Video Animal Survelliance System
(May 1, 2006)

These are a collection of videos that I have captured with a Video Surveillance system that also has discrete audio for each individual channel. For the past couple of months, it seemed like there was nothing bigger than a raccoon coming onto the property. Recently, I just captured my first images of deer.

These videos were made with a new security system that I had installed on my property. The cameras are color in the daytime and infrared at night. (With infrared illuminators built into the camera.)  Although, you might not hear much in parts of these videos, there is sound recorded with the videos. Also, you might notice that I fast forwarded some of these videos while recording.

The Nuisance Bear!
(April 2005)

This bear started making himself home on our Everglades property one evening.  He came back three nights in a row that I am sure of because we have an Audio/Video surveillance system that I had just installed.  It is a very nice system that has three cameras and microphones.  (It is capable of four.)  I watched him take a bite out of our pool, a cedar chest and numerous other things before he grabbed a 12 pack of Diet Coke before he ran off for the night.  As you can see, he has been tagged twice as a nuisance bear.  Hopefully, I can get the Game and Freshwater Fish Commission out to capture him again.  He is a real pest!

These photographs are placed in chronological order.  The time and date is stamped in the lower right corner of the image.  As an example, "22 23:13" is telling you that the picture was taken on the 22 day of the month at 23:13 hours military time.  (11:13 PM)

Videos!
(April 29, 2005)

These videos were made with a new security system that I had installed on my property. I only have three cameras at this time, but it is still a lot of fun. The cameras are color in the daytime and infrared at night. (With infrared illuminators built into the camera.) Two of the videos are completely at night, so you might need a dark room to view these images well and you will see that the illuminators make the video look like you are looking with a flashlight and only the center of the screen is illuminated. Although, you might not hear much in parts of these videos, there is sound recorded with the videos. Also, you might notice that I fast forwarded some of these videos while recording. This is because the bear literally spent hours in the same place.
